Type: [icon.] Thimeleae facie, frutex maritimus tetraseprmos, flore tetrapetalo in Sloane (1725: 29, t. 162, f. 4), lectotype selected by Miller in Cafferty & Jarvis (2004: 84).


According to Jarvis (2007), with the lectotypification made by Miller, this name should be considered under the synonymy of Suriana maritima L. (Surianaceae). See the record at the Linnean typification project website here.
